How Long Does an AI Video Take to Generate? Our Real Times
Most AI videos made from photos take 3 to 20 minutes to generate. On Hotel Lobby Video (rapaivideo.net), a 12-second AI rap on Seedance 2.0 Mini at 720p took a median of 3.5 minutes, and a 12-second Hotel Lobby video on Wan 3.0 at 480p took 7.6 minutes; one in ten Wan renders took longer than about 17 minutes.
Those are medians of our customers’ finished paid renders from 1 to 19 October 2026, our own staff tests left out, timed from the press of Create video to the moment the MP4 was ready. Choosing photos and a song takes a few minutes more.

Our times, by model
| Model and quality | Length | Median | 9 in 10 within | Renders |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.0 Mini, 720p | 12 s | 3.5 min | 4.1 min | 15 |
| Wan 3.0, 480p | 12 s | 7.6 min | 16.7 min | 62 |
| Wan 3.0, 480p | 15 s | 6.1 min | 10.2 min | 10 |
The 15-second row came out faster than the 12-second one only because it has ten renders and the queue was quiet those days; longer clips do not render faster. At 720p and 1080p we have only three to six renders per length, roughly 10 to 15 minutes each, too few to put in the table. For Wan 3.0, the time includes redrawing each photo as a full-length portrait before the video starts.
Five things that make a render slow
- The model. Seedance 2.0 Mini is built for speed; Wan 3.0 follows the Hotel Lobby clip move by move and keeps its song, and takes about twice as long.
- Quality. More pixels per frame means more work; 720p took clearly longer than 480p in our renders.
- A reference to follow. Copying a clip’s moves or lip-syncing a song is slower than a free-form scene.
- Queues. The provider runs many jobs at once. At busy hours your job waits its turn, which is why the slowest one in ten takes twice the median.
- Checks. Your photos and the finished video pass a content check; it adds seconds, not minutes.

How to get your video sooner
- Make the first try at 480p and keep 720p or 1080p for the keeper.
- For an AI rap or an effect, Seedance 2.0 Mini is the fastest model we offer.
- Close the tab if you like: the render runs on the server, and the video waits in My videos.
- Run up to three at once if you are making several versions.
If a render fails, the credits go back on their own: 9 of 122 paid renders failed in the same weeks, all refunded. The editor tells you what to expect before you start: about 5 to 15 minutes on Wan 3.0.
