“Hotel Lobby” Song Lyrics Meaning: Quavo, Takeoff, AI Trend

The “Hotel Lobby” lyrics are a victory lap. Quavo raps first and Takeoff takes the next verse, and both boast about private jets, jewelry, money and the loyal circle that has been with them from the start. There is no story to follow; the verses are boasts.

They rap in the fast triplet flow Migos is known for, three syllables to a beat, over a trap beat. The official music video, directed by Keemotion and Quavo, pays homage to the film Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (Wikipedia). The orange booth everyone copies is not from that video; it is from the COLORS performance.

Not officially. It was released by Unc & Phew, the duo of Quavo and Takeoff, not by Migos, and Offset is not on it. People still call it the Migos song, and the AI clips the Migos AI trend, because two of the three Migos perform it. In the trend, the “Migos AI song” can be this track, a song people add themselves or an AI-written rap; see Migos AI.

COLORS published “Quavo & Takeoff - HOTEL LOBBY | A COLORS SHOW” on June 17, 2022. It runs 2:46 and opened COLORS’ Black Music Month series with Motown, directed by Munachi Osegbu. Like every A COLORS SHOW, it is filmed in front of one solid color, orange here, with one microphone hanging between the two rappers (COLORS on YouTube, Know Your Meme). It had 122,386,344 views on September 29, 2026.

• Billboard Hot 100: entered on June 4, 2022 and peaked at No. 55 on the chart dated January 14, 2023, with 22 weeks on the chart (Billboard).
• Other charts: No. 12 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and No. 55 in Canada. Certified Platinum in the US, Gold in Brazil and France, Silver in the UK (Wikipedia).
• Album: Only Built for Infinity Links, the only Unc & Phew album, released October 7, 2022. It debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 (Wikipedia).

Takeoff, born Kirsnick Khari Ball, was fatally shot outside a bowling alley in Houston on November 1, 2022, 25 days after the album came out. Police said he was not believed to be the intended target (Wikipedia).

• September 2026: AI video tools start swapping Quavo and Takeoff for other people and characters, and the Hotel Lobby trend (also called Migos AI) takes off. Know Your Meme traces an early viral post to TikTok on September 16, 2026, a Suits version; XXL dates the first cat versions to early September (Know Your Meme, XXL).
• People make versions with friends, couples, athletes, TV characters and pets, using tools such as Starrd, Summrs and CapCut templates (Complex).
• September 23, 2026: Quavo reposts the original, unaltered COLORS performance (The Source, Complex).
• Criticism: some fans object to AI copies of Takeoff after his death and to people’s likenesses being used without consent (Complex, XXL).
• Names: TikTok captions and tool sites also call it Migos AI or the AI rap duo trend. Some tools replace the song with an AI rap written for the pair.

The trend works best with your own people: a friend, a partner, a parent. Hotel Lobby Video puts the two people from your photos on the orange stage, with the Hotel Lobby track, your own song or, on a Seedance model, an original AI rap about a topic you choose. It does not recreate Quavo or Takeoff, and it is not affiliated with them, Quality Control Music, Motown or COLORS.
